????

so....I'm still hurting from my ankle injury...not real bad...but not good enough to do plyo yet. I did jog a bit with the guys for a warmup yesterday and it didn't feel good. Hope that it gets better by next week so I can start hitting my workouts head on again. I'm really exicited about insanity. I like pushing myself to new limits. during weights the other day one of my players were doing pullups and did 10 pretty easy. Guys were standing around and bet me I couldn't do 5...(havn't told them I've been working out with p90x:)...I bet them that every pullup after 10 they had to do a 120. they agreed...but if I didn't get to ten I had to 10 120's!!!
well...needless to say I did 17 pullups and they ran afterwards while I stood and smiled...funny thing is ...im almost twice as old as most of them! eating has been a bit off lately..no excuse...just kind have let my eating habits slip a bit...nothing bad though...havn't gained or lost any weight for about 3 weeks now...feel about the same ...hope to push forward and drop down to my 10% body fat during insanity...looking forward to posting about the ups and downs of it:)

back to posting

well I had a great trip to miami, started pre-season, working on 3 master classes at one time, and getting ready for school to start tomorrow!
so needless to say ive been super busy. I have not done p90x for 2 weeks now. Had a really bad ankle sprain from working on the fields and stepping in a big hole. Finally able to walk today without too much pain. Had to take a couple days off .
Just received insanity for a present though! so next monday starts my 60 day journey with it. Please follow along as I tear up my body, learn new things about myself, and continue to follow my journey of being under 10% bodyfat and totally fit!
This week is going to be a week to help finish healing my ankel and circut training at school.

back from vacation!

so I took a little vacation to miami...ate what I wanted...only workout was some abs/pushups in the morning and some walking around. Great vacation and can't wait to do it again. Felt ok with having my shirt off.....might be the first time in my life! Still not ripped yet but I don't look bad:) My parents said they are buying me insanity for a gift so I'm looking forward to getting that in the next few weeks..probably wont start until after season so I can hit it head strong....can't wait ...have heard some good things about it...well back to hitting the workouts hard tomorrow! gotta burn those calories I ate during my small vacation!

new stats

well I have taken 4 days in a row off from hard workouts and just did some light stretching/abs/and jumping jacks for 15 minutes in the morning and after lunch. The main reason is last weeks i really felt my strength and recovery time go down. I have been trying to carb cycle to drop some extra weight so i go two days low carbs (only 1 serving for breakfast) then on the third I add a carb to my second meal. The fourth day i have complex carbs for my first 4 meals ( i have been eating 6 meals a day). Then repeat. WEll with the morning cardio and p90x it was TOO much for my body...have been super tired...heart rate has been up in the mornings so i took a couple days off and am going back to regular eating schedule of 6 meals a day with protein/complex carbs for first 3 meals a day and hten protein and veggies for last two meals a day. Think my body will still continue losing weight and let me push through my workouts this way.
so took my stats after the 4 days off and was amazed to see some results in the last two weeks (its been super hard not checking my weight and measuring my waist!!!) I have seen a decent change in ways clothes fit.
last results I took were

now if those are not results of hard work and p90x I don't know what are! In just a little over two weeks I lost 7 pounds of fat and actually gained a pound of muscle. That is usually pretty hard to do! My goal is to lose 2.25 in of my waist by sept 1...think my body has finally made that jump to a fat burning machine! which is the goal of every person who takes part in the p90x structure!

just saw that Insanity is up for sale! Think im going to get that and see if I can push my self throught it! My players will probably love me when I make them go through some of the workouts with me during preseason! I know they loved the plyometric workout :)

shoulders and arms

worked out late today. Rocked shoulders and arms and followed it with ab ripper x. Felt weak today? Pushed throught the workout but wasn't as strong as usually. Wasn't tired during workout...and got a CRAZY burn inthe muscles which was nice. I have been dropping some weight the past week. I didn't believe my eyes on monday when i weighed in! I'm going ot wait to post my results for right before my trip to miami. My goal for sept is a 30 in waist. if the next few weeks follow the trend of last week then I will hit my goal before miami! im just hoping my last few weeks of not missing a workut and eating well has finally kicked in. A friend of mine says that is how it happend for him. He went several weeks with only losing a pound of nothing and all of sudden in a 3 week span he dropped 12 pounds of 4 in off his waist! what a result. I'm hoping that is what is happening to me. I almost feel thinner everyday! which pushes me hardier in the workouts and helps me stay away from bad foods! can't wait to show everyone my update pics in about 2 weeks! keep coming back to see if I have made a change:)

p90x with a twist

so I don't feel like paying $75 dollars to workout at the gym for 3 months..and since our workout area at the school is being redone....im staying with p90x until insanity comes out...
I however am adding something stuff to it.. 3 days a week of HIIT cardio in the morning...
a typical workout goes like this. 5 min warmup and then 1 min light work...followed by 1 min hard as possible..2 min very light 1 min all out...cont for 12 min...followed by 5 min cooldown/stretch.. and 3 days of the week light cardio up to an hour per session

on monday I did chest and back.....I did my back exercises down stairs and my pushups upstairs...ran up and down the stairs inbetween to push heart rate up. Killed this workout today!!! and that was my second workout of the day!

Tue
went for a light 60 min walk with luca right after lunch. it was nice and lowkey but helped with burning some extra calories.

after dinner rested until 8 and then im going to rock plyometrics !!! gotta love it...
its the one workout I don't look forward to but once I'm done I feel so good aobut myself and glad that I pushed myself through it:)

non-impact week finished!

just finished the recovery week...almost felt like I needed to do something else besides the workouts prescribed! like on xstrectch day..felt i needed to work harder...I also know it is very important to have a recovery week...so I did what was asked and only did the required workouts...cant wait for this week..have 3 full body heavy circut training days...with plyo/yoga/and kenpo x on their regular days.. doing 12 exercises 2x around with a 1 min break between the 12! trying to push my body to the next level and continue to lose body fat.. size 30 waist by sept 1 is my new goal! 3.5 inches to lose ...lets see if that is possible...two months?

great weekend ...dropped the kids off with the parents and took my wife out for a day of relaxing, shopping, and movies...had a good meal out and I would have used to have had a drink...maybe two...finish my whole meal...and have a dessert...
well..I had baked chicken...veggies...corn tortillas (2) and water! no dessert...at the movies...i had a handful of almonds :) what a little change can do:)

core syn

Had a great workout tonight. Core syn ...loved it...I was able to keep up the whole time and really pushed myself...the hardest part of it was the lunge kickback/curl/press/reverse curl......that gets the heart rate up..what a great full body movement though...presume I burned some calories..
have an early morning date with my workout clothes at 630 tomorrow morning..going for a short run before eating...to see if I can burn some extra calories...:) still eatign the same..just hopeing to throw in some more cardio to burn the extra fat...starting to feel in shape...monday night went out and did sprints ranging from 20-50 yards at the soccer field ...and it felt pretty good ...its great what you can do to your body...you can push it to limits you never thought possible...you are your worse enemy!!!!! you just have to have postive thoughts...instead of I cant...its to hard...i dont have time...have good thoughts...I can...I can push through...I will make time.....I wrote down a goal of sept 1 today to be at 10% bodyfat...my goal reads like this.

I'm so happy and thankful now I am less than 10% bodyfat. My 30 in jeans fit great on my slim waistline. I'm super lean with a rock hard six pack!"
Made a computer sticky note on my computer and Iphone! Made a dialy reminder 4x a day to pop up on my phone....made the sticky note stay in right hand part of the page. I will ready this all day long... Just like in sports......positive imagery is the best way to go! Until later....keep pushing play and see where you can push yourself

measurements

well took my measurements this morning and showed a two gain pound of muscle...and only less then a .5 pounds of fat! not a great week...means I ate to much!!!!
the good thing is gaining lean body mass is always a good thing. In the mirror im looking a lot more muscular which is nice!!
however, my overall goal is to retain lbm and lose a great amount of fat weight...im still about 16 % bodyfat and I wanted to be around 12 by the end of july. I still have time to do that.
This is a recovery week and next week im going to change things up and not do all of p90x ..
im going to do full body weight training 3x per week..with plyo and yoga still on tue/thur/ and add early morning pre eating cardio sessions of 30-40 minutes...
sat. will be kenpox
with sunday a total off day...
I will do 2-3 sets with no rest in between exercises using 8 compound movements with pullups/dips at the beg of the circut training..hoping to get the heart rate real up with no rest and prepare myself for insanity coming in july!!!!

end of another week

finished the week good. Ate good all week...and cheated on fathers day. Think that it wont have any effect on my week's good workouts...going to push hard through next week and throw in some early morning cardio this week...added a few walks last week and am looking forward to see if that helped at all.

REally starting to make all of this a habit and am looking forward to what I can do with my body before the end of july.....

good workouts!!!

my last few workouts have been crazy good! went for an hour walk yesterday pushing the stroller...killed...bi/back...did 10 wide pullups by myself during the first set! did 20 in first set with help of the chair...feeling good about the strength gains I'm getting.. yoga...was horrible as always:) i just struggle the whole time...I do feel much better then I did a few weeks ago though.

going to go for another walk in the morning tomorrow and then attack legs/back workout hard!
hopeing to see a change in body comp. monday morning during weigh in..

plyometrics to the next level!

well...i decided today that I'm going to hit up the new workout coming out in july. My fitness is starting to get decent again and I'm hoping to keep losing bodyfat over the next few weeks. so I made up my mind to up my workout tonight to see how far I Could push my body. Took the work outside to the soccer field. Put some cones up about 20 yards apart. Did a typical soccer warmup that takes about 8-10 minutes with light stretching...then into the plyo workout. I have done it so many times that I pretty much know it from heart:) i cut the rep time t 20 sec...but after each 4 part round (usually repeats it self) I threw in 5 all out sprints...with a light...i mean light..jog/walk back to cone...then went back into plyo...talk about hard....my heart rate was near 180 the whole time! to say the least it kicked my butt...but..i was able to workout for 50 mins. this way...my sprint at the end was more like a jog...but I pushed myself...going to go for a nice walk in the morning with luca to help with the soreness that I already know im going to have...looking forward to seeing if shawn t can whip me into even better shape...

I worked hard last week...i did have a cheat day this weeknd....I thought that was supposed to help me?

REally disappointed from this! Very unmotivating really..it sucks...when yu work hard...do whatr your supposed to do and dont see results...i guess i need to tweak my food intake...or cut some carbs out...i don't know...i've been eating healthy...consuming lots of water...working hard...i m going to try to do some more walking this week...and throw in an early morning cardio x ....hope to lose 2 pounds of fat this week...

good weekend

overall workout were good...cut kenpo x short...had a table dropped on my foot sat. morning while getting ready for a yard sale. Besides that yard sale went great. sold my scooter:( made a good amount of money and got rid of some stuff we don't need/use anymore...

will weigh myself tomorrow...hoping to lost a pound or two this week! a slow process is good for me...i don't want to lose lean body mass. going to add a couple cardio x workouts in the morning next week...to see if that helps drop some more fat a bit quicker....overall diet was good this week...did have 2 glasses of wine with dinner last night and a small bowl of ice cream:) but for the week that was my cheats!!!! another good week down...a lot of healty weeks to come:)

the mother of all workouts!

tuesday = plyo workout! I don't look forward to this workout. I do feel great, but tired, after it though. The great thing is that I go downstairs and get into the zone and bring it to the best of my ability. I recommend this workout to EVERYONE! It is hard but the results are great.
Besides this workout I took luca for an afternoon walk in the stroller to big his big sister up Gianna ... A little over a mile away from the house on the way there took the long way and made it almost two miles.. Though I had brought the bjorn with me for the walk back just in case gianna got tired on teh way home. Well on the way back we had to stop and play on the slide..which wore gianna back.. So what does that mean...daddy carrying one 25 pound kid and pushing the other in a stroller for about a half of a mile...sounds easy...it wasn't ....I felt like it was a new beachbody workout...I have a hill that I had to climb as well....fun times...so today was a great day..I think tomorrow I might take the kids on another adventure...even if I have to carry them home...if it wasn't for p90x I don't think we would have made it home:)

chest/back/abs

Just booked my wife;s flight to maimi in the middle of july. Also booked the hotel we will be staying at. Got a great deal on the hyatt in coral gables. I get a free trip through IDEA a soccer invite that I Will be attending. Also get my housing/food while I'm there until sunday...
IT was my motiviaton the last few workouts and fired me up tonight. I want to look ripped for my wife. Just hope that I still have time for it!

commit

no matter what...don't miss a workout...is starting to be my motto...i worked out at 11 pm last night...legs and back..me vs the workout...laid on the floor afterwards and felt good..peaceful...relaxed...tired...
felt good that I didn't go to bed because I was tired...day was long...didn't fit it in when I usually do after I put my daughter to bed because my wife wanted to watch a movie....so I did...then worked out while she was feeding luca and putting him to bed....overall great workout...

kenpo was good....it is a workout that goes fast though so I made it through at 10 pm...then took a shower and relaxed a bit before heading to bed...

overall great week....6 workouts...and pushed through...hoping to up the intensity next week...

day of stretching!

did x stretch instead of yoga. Really like the workout...plus...i have a hard time getting into the yoga...don't know why...just do..i have done other yoga workouts and enjoyed them? X stretch was good today. Needed a day of non-impact and the stretching is great. I'm pretty sore today so it was nice change..going to tear up legs and back tomorrow! Such a demanding,challenging workout...love it! will push through the challenge...have a vision ....just another step to where I want to go...the key is to always go forward!

fav workout?

Back and biceps could be my favorite workout. I pushed it hard today. Felt weak in the pullups...Pushed through..used the chair ....and did the best I could do. Im so sore today from my last couple workouts. Felt like my first week in jan. AS my college soccer coach used to say the pain is your body pushing the weakness out:) Tried an old marathon trick of warm water for 1 min...freezing cold for 30 sec. repeat for time of shower. See if that helps tomorrow. After fridays workout going to go to the training room in the soccer locker room and take a nice cold...whirlpool bath to take some of the latic acid out and help with soreness...
on a different note my wife found a house that she likes! We are thinking of putting an offer in....with the 8000 tax credit for new home owners it is a good time to do it. Just scared with all the talk of this and that with the economy...

10000 contest

I saw today that beachbody just gave away 10000 to a male and female...so when I was working out...i kept telling myself that it was for 10000! it really helped me get through this workout...i was breathing hard...sweating...dying.....etc...the usually with plyo....but my head was right....i was fighting for $300 in wowy...1000 for the monthly transformation.....and the 10000....and....thats not even thinking about the 250000 they give away every year....
this is open for anyone who changes their body...not only do I have a new body to work for...but for a nice little check...so if you are not signed up for beachbody yet....go and do it!!!

chest/shoulders/tri/abs

before lunch today I went head and did ab ripper X...it was tough..its been 2 weeks since I did it ...and man oh man....it burned...pushed through...then ate lunch...today's diet was great...even drank a whole gallon of water...a goal that was hardier then I thought..felt like I was drinking a glass all day long...hope that it helps..

After dinner played with the kids and then put them to bed..headed downstairs and pushed play! workout was hard. had to push myself through it...had a vision of myself ripped with every set...that makes it a lot easier.!

well overall a great day for fitness. I spent some time this morning and looked at beachbody.com...and looked at the p90x transformations...I'm just amazed at how much some of the people have transformed..I want that transformation.. I didn't get it in my first 90....but I want it now....

Not many words to say how disappointed in myself I am..Now I know with the neck injury and sickness I missed almost 3 straight weeks of workouts...but what was I doing with my diet? Why did I think it was ok to eat what I wanted again? IT's the clean house theory I think! I came up with and excuse that a LOT of people use. You spend a weekend cleaning your house...and tell yourself...I'm not going to let my house get messy again! monday comes around...hard day at work...after making dinner, putting kids to sleep, doing this and that...you decided to skip doing the dishes...well the house is clean you say to yourself..so you go to bed...come tuesday....kids toys are everywhere...your tired....dishes need to be done..laundry needs to be done...so you skip sweeping the floor and picking up the living room before going to bed...all of sudden your house is messy again..you sit back and ask yourself how!
Our diets/body are the same way...a missed workout here...ad cookie there...and beer here...all of sudden we are asking ourselves how!
That's where I am...i took my pics again this morning...i took my stats...WOW is all I have to say..im almost to the point I was at my 60 day break during my first round of p90x!!!! that was 2 months ago....what have I done??? ITs sad...but there are two ways I can go with this..I can quit...and give up...and end up like a lot of people I know...or I can put it behind me..use it as a fire to push me hardier....and get back into the grind of things...I'm going to pick #2!

I harp on my players almost every day in the off season that its so hard to get fit...and a lot easier to stay fit and take fitness to a new level if they work hard all year....but then look at me....i almost feel like I'm starting over....

BET

WEll...when bad things happen they say they happen in 3's...my grandfather died a few weeks back, I had a neck injury...started working out and I caught a horrible sinus/ear infection.. Actually my first ear infection EVER!!! With running temps of 104+ degrees for two days and was totally dead..I have only gotten 4 p90x workouts in in the past 3 weeks..Today I';m going to hit core syn and go for a walk with the family.. Tomorrow im going to do yoga...
Monday the last 30 days of the this session. Not HAPPY with where I am ...I am down to a 33 in waist...still have bad love handles and my eating habits have been avg at best.
So here it is....who wants to make a bet?
I might be a little over competetive in most things....Maybe that;s why I'm a college coach:) I don't have anyone around here who wants to take on a new workout method..my wife is taking her workouts slowly and I want someone to keep me accountable and help push me for the best results possible. IS that you? IF so reply and lets make a little wager..im willing to pay you REAL money if I dont get my results...your wager.....compliments and a congrats..you are in a no lose situation. my wager is not miss a workout! lose at least 5 pounds of fat in the next 30 days...if your up to push me to the next level let me know asap...monday will start the 30 days!!!!!!!

1st day back...back and bis/abs......

GREAT work out today. Pushed hard...I know I'm going to feel it tomorrow:) Even threw in some pushups, and shoulder stuff since I missed them earlier this week. Tomorrow morning will be cardio and then afternoon yoga. I still hate Yoga...x stretch is so much better....just dont' get into the groove of yoga...will try tomorrow with a new mindset to see if that helps.

Watched the biggest loser last night and was happy to see the people on there making transformations in their lives. IF you havn't watched it you should. It shows that ANYONE can make a change...

As for my current life...Started daddy day care last friday. I went on summer break on wed. (its great being a college coach/prof.) My eating habits when I'm at home are great. I get a balanced protein, complex carb, and veg in every meal until 2 and then protein , veg from then on. I hope to see a nice change in teh next few weeks. Will post some new pics next week. Not the transformation you see on the infomercials but still decent. Hope to have a six pack by end of summer:) Wish me luck

time off :( But now I'm BACK!

Well I have been not up to date on the workouts. I jumped into a training exercise with my college boys almost 2 weeks ago. While playing a little 4 v 4 I went up for a header and reinjured an old neck injury that has been flaring up a bit over the past few weeks anyway. After seeing the trainer I was told it was best to take a few weeks off while I re-habed the neck. A hernaited disk is what my diagnosis is.. So I have taken off a few workouts...but I was cleared to start again tomorrow! Supposed to start light...but since the boys are away for summer....and I have thrown the boots away( soccer cleats) I'm only going to do p90x for right now...so tomorrow I'm just going to jump back into where I should be if I didn't lose the last 2 weeks or so.. I have not lost or gained:) any weight or fat % ...so Im not super bummed. Going to hit it hard...check back tomorrow..I WILL be posting my journy again day by day. It can be a bit boring....but comments, questions, motiviational quotes...etc...always push me to work hardier. Thanks for reading...see you tomorrow

another week!

well its another week...got all my workouts in last week..and really pushed hard in each one....My calves are still sore from friday/sat;s workouts:) this week is recovery week, i needed one!, and i have been struggling with adding some snacks into my diet..I have cheated several times the past week...not bad or anything..just a piece of candy here...or there....but...don't think it is a horrible thing...

next week starts my doubles....and i'm hoping to see a good loss in body fat...i have only lost 2/3 pounds in the past 3 weeks...not what I wanted...I should be eating cleanier...until I get to my weight that I want to be at...which is not where I'm at...I still have a lot of fat around my spare tire...and lower back...??? Why don't I get the results as others>

another week down!

Another week down missed two workouts last week...but overall good week...lost 1 pound of fat ...so im happy...if I could lose a pound of fat every week...i would be a very happy man!!!! its not my goal of two...but its still good...next week is recovery week...and then doubles!!!I will be getting up 3/4 days a week in the morning and throwing in cardio to help the fat loss...my goal of under 10 percent body fat by aug...is still on track...lets hope I have my abs ready by then:)

Plyo

Worked plyo ..I felt really strong in today;s workout. I even played soccer today for an hour! This was the best plyo workout so far ...pushed hardier then usually jumped..higher...and I got more from each set then I have so far this journey.. Ate a homemade protein bar after the workout at 1030...so hope that doesn't hinder some of my workout... tomorrow run in the morning...trying to find someone to run with ...

April 8

Missed my last several posts on here. So far workouts are going good. I missed two last week (fri/sat) due to being at the hospital with my family while my g-pa is slipping away. Did do some core work and pushups though.

Can't believe that I'm still sore after workout outs. My abs are dead today and so is my chest/back from the other day! I guess that is what muscle confusion is all about? Does this get better? I do know that I'm slowly getting stronger with every workout and that the little extra I do with the soccer team with playing/running has helped a bit more as well. I really need to do some morning cardio on an empty stomach to further my fat loss. My goals are big and I want to get there before summer! Wish me luck:)

i did x stretch instead of yoga X ...I love x stretch...i like how I feel afterwards...I feel rejuvanted...I think it is a great break for the middle of the week...I should do yoga...but i lover x stretch and feel it helps...sometime I will do yoga ...just not right now...

day 3 (93) shoulders/arms/abs

Rough day today...spent the day at the hospital with my family because my grandpa is on his last leg. His health has been up and down over the past two months. Hospice came in this morning and said that they would like to take him off of all medicine and only provide pain medicine to help him with the pain. The last thing that I want to remember of my granpa is seeing him lying there in the state he was today. However, I also think it is great that the whole family came in and are with him on his last days.

As far as the workout goes...lets just say I had a little extra motiviation today and pushed hard through this workout. My arms are dead now and I know for sure I'm going to feel it tomorrow!!!
Tomorrow is Yoga and I'm also going to do some running tomorrow before lunch.

day 2 (92) plyo!

Still hard as hell workout. I breathe hard, I sweet, and I get my butt kicked. I have found if I envision myself with my shirt off ripped...it helps me get through a tough time! This is the workout that I feel is the hardest. The breaks are small, you get worked on every 30 sec set...and that is for 50+ min long! insane workout. I did a great job today though....hopefully by the end of these 90 days I will be able to keep up with the dude inthe back...he is crazy!

Day 1 (91)

started round 2 today
Pushed play and brought it. By far the best workout so far..pushed my body really hard...my neck is super sore from sleeping on a coach at my brother in laws house over the weekend. ...so that is the only neg. pushed hard in the abs...and they hurt now!!!!!!! its been over a week since I worked them and I felt weak in this area for where I should be....starting to get stronger in pullups ...did over 65 pullups! see you tomorrow for plyo!!!!!

round one complete!!!

a week of laid back workouts...skipped the last yoga and played some soccer instead... Ran a couple miles this week as well. Still feel that x stretch is a great workout and my body is sore from core. overall a good 90 days..didn't follow the plan to a T but did get good results. One is that none of my clothes fit anymore:) I;m taking 5 pairs of dress pants to the tailors on monday to get them resized! plus I bought a new outfit for work size 32 pants.. a little snug but where I'm heading they are going to be perfect...maybe even loose in a month or so! I will take pics tomorrow morning before work.

This program has helped change my life and im happy to say that my wife is even considering to try starting next week...she has already lost all of the baby weight but wants to get toned up now...she should be cleared next week to start working out...wants to jump in and do the core work while she starts running again...and lifting weights for a few weeks to prepare herself for her first round:)

sore!

WEll this is supposed to be my last week of p90x ...i've talked about it before how I missed around 2 weeks because of the baby...and stuff..well I thought to myself that I'm still goign to end this week like I had planned 90 days ago.. I'm just going to start round 2 next week! so this week is my recovery week..instead of yoga I played soccer for 2 hours! Fun times...4 v 4 in the gym...fast paced hard games.....body is feeling it today...felt in shape though...several of the guys made remarks about the fire in me last night...I felt like I was 20 again playing last night..(besides the loss of some skill:(

kenpo X

had fun with this work out today...my daughter, who is 2, also had fun with this workout. Overall good day. Went super low on the carbs today only had complex carbs with breakfast in the range of 45-50 carbs with whole wheat cereal. Since I had my cheat meal yesterday I like to follow it with a super low carb day and then monday tues will be low carb days with carbs at breakfast 1 snack and lunch...looking to hit doubles this week with runs with the soccer team and my workouts.

friday night legs/back/abs date!

started working out at 8:30 after i put my daughter to bed. HAd a nice little date with legs/back and abs..What a date let me tell you. This workout is so hard. My legs shake..i sweat....i breath hard...and for some reason I actually like it :) it is going to make my run tomorrow morning really fun. I did get over 10 reg pullups on my first set in all but super wide grip ...I only got 8. plus I did at least 5 more with the chair on each set! I couldn't even do 2 when I started:) Overall decent week with workouts..and ok with food. Will be back on track from now on...keep watching for the change:)

again...not a drastic change from my 30 day pics...i am down to a 33.75 in waist....as you can see i'm carrying most of my fat in my love handels...and hope that it starts leaving soon...

not happy/double

well I took pics tonight...and im not happy. I know the last two weeks have not been as good as I wanted and have not followed the workout plan or the eating plan. But I still wish I had better results. I guess a little cheat here...a missed workout here..not enough sleep..stress at work...real life! has let me not get to where I wanted. The great thing about this...is that it has pissed me off! I went back and read all of my old posts and think back to how much effort I put in so far and im mad at myself for having that brownie today...im mad at myself for missing 8 workouts so far...now I know...ive eaten pretty healthy...and usually play soccer or run on days I didn't get a workout in...but I have a quote that I always share with my soccer players......if you always do what you have always done...you will always get ...what you have always gotten...it sums up...i need to follow a a plan...it works...others have shown that it does....I just need to follow it! So I missed about two weeks so far..because of the baby and my small vacation...so im going to add two weeks to my 90 days...to kind of see what my potential would be...so instead of being down march 28 I will be the second weekend of april...im hoping that i can still get good results in my last month...
Now im not expectating miracles...i didn't expect a 6 pack abs from the first 90 days...i however...am going to push the second round of p90x and im going to make sure that by july 16th im going to be ripped...i head to maimi that weekend for a 4 day soccer tournament ...and then a 3 day cruise with my wife and friends...i want to transformed by then...if your reading this....help keep me accountable for every workout ...effort...and calorie that I eat...one cheat meal is ok...but when you throw them all together over a period of 12 weeks that could be a pound or two of fat I could have lost!!!!!

chest /shoulder tris/abs

good workout. Had a really bad headache/neck pain from tweaking it last night during sleep some how? Used a little icy hot before working out and got a really good workout in. IT was my first full p90x workout in over a week...Forgot how much I loved them. I really pushed through the workout and raised my reps from last time I did this workout. I'm looking forward to the next time i do this workout because it is the prob. the one I feel strongest in.
Abs were tough as always but feel much stronger then before and I can feel them working hard ..while im invisioning a cut sixpack for the summer:)

vacation/missed workouts

now I have not quite p90x...i did however take a week off. Since the baby has was born ,sleep has been less then usually. Also, i went on a short 5 day vacation to my wife's sister's house. I left my computer at home bag at home on accident and that is where my p90x videos were kept. I did however, get several good runs..and did pushups and core workouts...I did not eat as healthy as usually too...I know not what I should have done in the 90 day transformation. I am going to repeat last week and instead of doing a 90 i will do 97 instead.

I am going to start doubles for the last 3 weeks. Since we will be doing soccer workouts in the afternoons I will be jumping into the fitness with the guys to get around 1 to 1.5 hours of extra workouts in.. Workouts consist of speed agility drills. and other short burst of work with minimum rest. Will see if it helps burn some extra fat. I also will be running in the evening with the guys on longdistance days. I went for some runs last week and actually felt good. First night went for a 4 mile run and made it through really easy...will see how tomorrow goes with the guys and then 90x when I get home

great workout today! I worked out at 8:30 pm.. which is late..but...is the time after my kids go to bed...the newborn is throwing a twist into my workout schedule...i get up early to help my wife ...so early workouts are out...usually by the end of the day...im dead...so I think my workouts have been hurt lately...however, I'm still eating very healthy and slowly losing weight ....the hardest thing I have is seeing others drastic transformation and im not seeing that yet...however, I also think most of those people were at a lower starting point then I was. All in and all im super happy with my progress and hope by may I will be at my goal...
tomorrow...the mother of all workouts:) Plyo x....

workouts and measurements

workouts over the weekend were good..played soccer for 90 minutes..and fit in legs/back/abs..which might be my favorite workout...IT is super hard but I pushed through it.

measurements are not as good as I hoped..
weighed 179 this morning
waist was 33.5 (hasn't been this low in 10 years!)
which by my bodyfat calculations ( I teach college math:) ) means I lost 2 pounds of fat and 1 pound of muscle...which means I need to up my calories to not let that happen!
overall did lose 2 pounds of fat which is my weekly goal:)
will take my 60 days pics tomorrw morning and post!

shoulder, and arms/abs

What a g.ood workout...I'm very sore from the other workouts this week! ITs funny that I've been working out for 60 days and I'm still sore after a workout. I think that it is because of the muscle confusion. I'm going to take pics tomorrow of my 60 days and post them. I;m hoping to see some improvement from my 30 day pics. I have noticed that most people make the most change from 60-90....I hope to fall into this group as well. I don't expect to acheive all my goals at 90 days. I was too heavy and out of shape to do this. However, I know that I will continue this workout after 90 days! IT's not just a gimmick workout..IT does produce results for maxium fitness and weightloss:) I will add cardio to a couple of the workouts from now on to really push my results to the next level. IF needed I will also up my food intake a bit with the first two meals to help with this increase. I really like the zig-zag diet I have included the last couple of days. I've taken a few calories out on the 1st day and 2nd day with no complex carbs after my lunch. On the third day I add a little more carbs and calories..On the 4th day it is higher carb with complex carbs at every meal except my last and is almost 600 calories more then the first two days. This makes my body not go into into starvation mode and is also good because it replinshes glyocgen stores as well. I will post how it has done this week on monday.
IT's fun to experiment with foods and intake times to see how it effects your body.....:)
Will do yoga( my worst day) this morning so I can have the whole day to catch up on my research paper...taking the day off of work to help my wife relax with the baby..

I thought I was going to get through this one easy tonight...nope...it kicked my butt...the step back week lets your body heal...but when you come back and switch stuff up...your sore and it kicks your butt again!
I felt tired during the workout..had a rough day at work and I'm starting to feel a bit sleep deprived with the new baby...ended the workout 10 mins. early...but did push hard during the rest of it...totally dead...hope to get some sleep tonight:)

chest and back

kicked my butt today!
I actually threw up after doing the workout today..pushed my body to the limit I guess. I did more in each set and felt pretty good as the workout went on..Starting getting light headed in the second set but pushed hardier....lost my guts...laid down for about 10 mins...and then hit ab ripper X ...is that a bad thing? I was just thinking about getting ripped and losing body fat with every push up and pull up...knowing what I want and having my goals in my mind at all times has seemed to really help the last couple days with everything...
My friend game me a book called burn the fat feed the muscle...which is a MUST read for anyone wanting to change their lives...please check it out..Will post my 60 day pics later this week!!!

A good tip for anyone is write your goals down in positive words...and carry with you at all times...I make sure to repeat my goals every morning and before every meal..it is what goes into the body that makes the difference!

well...i kind of slacked this week.. Only got three workouts ins...no excuses...ive put other things in front of my fitness.. my diet hasn't been great...but not horrible either...did have a brownie and some icecream this week...but...overall the week I ate decent...
going to attack tomorrow and the rest of these 90 days hard...i don't want to stop changing or put behind me all that hardwork....see you tomorrow...with a renewed sense of mind

yoga x/cardio workout

I started yoga x but I really have a hard time doing it because my shoes get caught in the carpet...so after about 25 minutes I switched to cardio x and did the whole workout. FElt good...wanted to do more ...thought about going for a run afterwards but luca wanted me to change his diaper and chill with him while my wife took a bath...might throw some running in this week and hit up extra cardio for the next 30 days....have a 5k coming up in a few weeks and need to get some running in to help prepare my body for it...wife wants to get back into running (she has always been a runner) she is the one who helped push me to do a marathon a few years ago...she is thinking about doing p90x in a few weeks once she has recovered from the birth of our 2nd child....I'm starting to fall in love with p90x and the benefits it creates!

core syn...

well like I said before my wife had a baby on thur...so my schedule has been thrown a bit off. This was acutally my first full workout since the baby was born! plus, I didn't quite follow the diet to a t since thur either. I had a couple bumps in that road...but im back...yesterday I did part of the x stretch until I had to take over duty of the kid while my wife went back to bed. Today I did eat 100% clean and got a full workout in...it was a tough one! I don't know if it is due to the not so healthy eating the past few days or the change in sleep patterns but this workout kicked my butt. The lunge, kickback, curl, press is the hardest move and by about 10 reps I;m sweating hard core and I can't breath anymore...what a move!
I will weigh myself and take my measurements tomorrow to see if I did any backsliding last week and then I will forget about it and push forward again....next week are my 60 day pics....don't know how much I 've changed but I can feel a difference:)

baby born

Well my wife had a baby yesterday! So I skipped yesterday's yoga workout and might skip today's...diet has not been the best either...eating small meals but was hard to plan before leaving so I'm going to go back to the eating clean tomorrow and will make sure to get legs/back in on my sat. workout and sunday will be kenpo x. Overall...tired...happy....stressed....etc...all the typical new baby emotions!

chest/shoulders/triceps/abs

a great workout today. Pushed myself a to the limit...actually ended today laying on the floor trying to catch my breath! What a great feeling of pushing to the limits...My abs are still sore from sat's workout so today was tough. I added a 10 pound weight to the hammer twist thing at the end...which makes that part nasty. Two more days until my second child is born, unless he comes early and I'm going to probably miss a workout or two...but will have the joy of a new life !
Diet was great today again.

going to bring it tomorrow in plyo...have a friend coming over to try it...can't wait to see them throw up or fall over in total exhaustion:)

Legs/Back/Abs

I have always been strong in my legs....and can say that I have ran marathons, and played high level soccer where fitness and stregth always comes from the legs...I just wish I would have had this workout 10- years ago. This is a very good workout..I like pushing myself through it...added weights today to some of the exercises and was able to do 9 pullups today on the widefront pullups...i could barely do one a couple weeks back...Will do kenpo x tomorrow...not my favorite workout but it does get a good sweat going and my daughter, who is 2, loves to play along with me....
diet was good...did have a couple spoonfuls of icecream with my daughter after dinner....besides that another soda free day! that makes it 10 in a row:)

Yoga

well I did yoga today, well that is what I attempted. Yoga is not an easy workout. I was sweating bullets after about 20 minutes. This workout is tough. I was falling all over the place and some of the moves are past my ability. However, I did attempt it and think it will really help me with my life. I felt good afterwards (even though I fast forwarded through some parts..:() I think this is going to be more worse workout day of the 90 days. I do want to get better at it and next week I'm going to go for the full 90 minutes. I think it will really help with my back and hips because they have been beat up for 20 years playing soccer! I know already that this is a workout that I'm going to love to hate...Tomorrow is legs and my legs do feel a bit tired after this workout so I'm going to blast them some more!
Diet was really good today again. I didn't eat any fruit...but did have carbs for breakfast and lunch...with veggies at lunch and dinner as well.
Tomorrow going to start adding fruit into my diet as well.

Back/Biceps/Abs

Good/fast workout today. Had only 40 minutes so I fast forwarded it through after each set if there was extra time. Not only did I get a GREAT workout but I was breathing hard and got a pump out of this world! What a great workout today. Actually gave me the want and need to workout more. I think that I'm making the transition to p90x. I want to workout again even though I have to wait a day. I don't crave bad food...I havn't had a soda in over a week either!
A little about myself....I have drank soda since I was young...as long as I can remember I have drank several sodas every day...sometimes...more then a 2 liter a day...so I'm pretty happy with myself.
Change is hard....but change is good!

wed feb 4 OFF DAY

WEll wed are my hardest days of the week. I have individual meetings with players, 4 classes to teach, fitness practice with the boys and it is my recruiting night so I'm usually going to make it my off day. I'm also super sore today which is weird. I pushed hard on tue and I'm feeling it today which is nice. Will hit up back and bis hard on thur and try to do at least 22 reps on every set of ab ripper! I'm looking forward to having visibile abs by summer ...It would be the first time ever:) I'm just hoping there under there somewhere.

plyo

WOW..thought this workout would get easier as the weeks went on...but it hasn't! Pushed through the hard breathing and did my best. Good workout. . Actually have taken a lot of these moves and used with my soccer players on our fitness days. They like them and complain about them as well! Really struggling with how much I should be eating, if I'm getting enough? I'm not hungry so just wondering if I need to still up my calories or not..
Diet was good...made oatmeal/egg white pancakes for breakfast, protein bar for snack, lunch was a turkey sandwich on a whole wheat bun, 2nd snack was two tablespoons of pb...dinner was tortilla soup without the tortillas...and after workout I ate half an orange and a protein shake..

Chest, shoulders, tri, abs

killed today's workout! Did better in some areas and worse then others but pushed myself hardier today then I have ever in the abs. almost got 20 reps per exercise on abs. OVerall good workout. I really like this workout. Hope I kick butt this week on my workouts...Wondering how these workouts are going to go next week...my wife is due with our second baby. I'm hoping the lack of sleep wont have that much effect on my transformation???

Legs/Back

Been a long week. Didn't mean to let my posts go to the wayward this week. Overall a good week for working out. I did miss a workout on wed. and then on friday instead of p90x I played soccer for two hours...felt really good playing wise...didn't struggle with the lungs this time:) Today I did legs and back and remember how much I hated it...or is it love it...No matter what it is so hard that I had to hit pause again a few times this time around. I'm feeling it now....what a workout! I wonder ho many calories I burn in a session like that? The whole time I'm breathing hard/sweating and trying to keep my thoughts off how much pain my legs are in:)
tomorrow I'm going to double up with kenpo in the morning and x stretch in the afternoon..

back and biceps/abs

well 29 days in today. Tomorrow will be 30. Didn't work out until 930 at night and was feeling a little bit low on the energy..however, I went and pushed play and acutally had a great workout. My biceps are done! They havn't felt like this before in the workouts so I guess I blasted them hard today. Feeling myself able to push hardier without losing my breath and dying during the workout. Need to workout ealier so I can put more energy into though. I'm going to try to workout at 3 from now on before season starts. Plus with a baby coming in the next 2 weeks or so that is going to put some added pressure and problems to this workout. I've been trying to make good gains before then and hope my fitness is up by then to be able to deal with not much sleep, the stress of having a new baby, work, spring season starting, and working out. I guess the only way to see is to jump head first and find out what happens.. I do know one thing I've been working to hard and im not going to give this up!

Diet was good until dinner. My wife threw a pizza in and I'm a sucker for it. Had two small pieces (we cut our pizza into small squares) With what it said on the back of the box it was less then 400 calories.. I'm going to use it as my cheat meal for this week. The funny thing was after eating it I didn't get satisfaction. I was actually pretty annoyed with myself for having it.

Will post my 30 day pics tomorrow morning! Looking forward to seeing if I have made any change yet.

Plyo x

Not feelign so good today...struggled through the workout..Strength feels good...but my stomach was i. n bits so I cut a little off at the end. Hoping that I'm not getting a stomach a bug. WEll see tomorrow..

Diet was VERY clean today added a little more calories to my first meal and cut out complex carbs from my second snack and dinner. Drank a lot of water today and I'm trying to increase this while slowing down on my soda intake.

Looking forward to taking pictures on thursday morning. Would like to compare them to my first thirty days. IT's hard to see the little changes since I look in the mirror every day. I do know that I've lost a good amount of fat because I'm fitting in clothes I wore 5 years ago! That is a great feeling.

chest/shoulders/triceps/ Abs

Good workout...some really tough moves that im feeling as I'm writing this! My core is still sore from the workout the other day so that made today's workout fun. Pushed myself through this and feel that my level of fitness is a lot better then it was just a few short weeks ago. I'm going to be sore tomorrow I can already tell!
A couple things have been getting to me the last two-three days...the biggest one is the diet..I'm SOOOO hungry the past 3-4 days. It seems like after an hour or so after I eat I'm starting to get hungry. I havn't changed anything in my diet (except the cheat meals once a week). I was even having a hard time eating my snacks two or so weeks ago.. Now after I eat breakfast I'm starving by 10. A typical breakfast is either egg whites and oatmeal or chorizo con juevos and tortillas...and lately has been 3 protein pancakes with a scoop of protein powder extra as a drink.. Snack is usually a protein bar or a handful of almonds...or some slices of lunch meat and a piece of bread. Lunch is a good mix of veggies, complex carbs, and a protein. snack is either protein shake or bar.. dinner is protein and veggies and sometimes whole wheat pasta. I also add fiber supplements to breakfast and 1st snack...should I up my calories or add another snack? OR just deal with the hunger?? Any adice would help!

Well ...I finished my off week..missed two workouts due to family outings and also ate a cheat meal on sunday with the family. Feel ok with it though because I have ate very clean and also worked out really hard.

AGAIN...i spent 20 minutes writing a great post about how much I love this workout and when I went to post it came up as an error. so...the workout is great...I think it is great for me and will hope it helps in my unflexability!
Diet is good...did eat whole wheat pasta for dinner...small portion...is that bad for dinner? Does that matter that I'm eating complex carbs at 6?

Jan 19 X stretch

So instead of yoga i did xstretch again. I wanted one more day of this before moving on to yoga. I'm still not very flexible. The workout was good and I needed it because I played soccer yesterday and today. My back and legs were sore from that. I know it is supposed to be a non impact rest week but all the guys got back in and I wanted to play with them! I did feel much better then yesterday and played around 90 minutes or so!

Diet today was Great and I'm really doing well with staying on it. I did have pasta for dinner again but had a very small portion and added chicken to it. Plus, it was before 6 when I ate it so that should help with it.

I'm looking forward to new workout never done before this week!

The conference was good this year. I;m super happy that I stuck to my diet and pretty much followed it to a t....except for tonight when I shared a piece of 100 calorie snack with my daughter:) It was really good!

I did have 2 beers last night with some friends but feel ok with that as i worked out hard for three weeks.

As for my work outs I had to change some things around. I left my power cord to my computer at home and didn't have a way to watch the videos since my battery died. I did however have the legs/back format written down and I tried to follow it all the way through. Since I didn't have a pullup bar I used dumbell rows, and other back exercises. OVer alll I hurt afterwards!
SAt I ran on the treadmill/elipitical/ and stairstepper each for 15 minutes with 30 sec hard then recovery...30 sec hard. Had a great sweat. I tried to throw punches during this time and my arms feel like they are going to fall off.
Today I played soccer with the guys and felt pretty good. Still out of shape in regards to that but overall much better.
I will weigh in tomorrow and post my new measurements to see if I made any improvement this week. I'm also looking forward to recovery week. My body needs it!

Yoga changed to OFF DAY

I know...sounds bad. Woke up early for first day of conference....-1 degrees outside and I had to walk to the metro (about a quarter mile) Not FUN! Conference was good. Went to lunch and had a salad with steak with dressing on side. Snack was a protein bar in the morning and almonds in the afternoon. Dinner was pushed to 8 so I also had another protein bar at 5:30 to help with breaking up the meals. I did break down and have a beer with friends though...however they drank a lot..and I stopped after 1!!! Didn't really even feel like drinking...because I thought of the calories and that would equal like 20 minutes of extra plyo workout and it wasnt worth it to me:) Dinner was chicken lettuce wrap. Minched chicken and veggies eaten out of a big piece of lettuce that you use like a tortilla..really good. Since we are staying at a casino we had to play a little so I lost $40 and now im here.

Pushed to no workout because I have nothing after 5 tomorrow so i can workout and then on sat. after my sessions I can do the kenpo x. Sunday will be my yoga day! AFter that I'm excited to see how far my body has come.
I'm super proud of myself for doing well today when surrended by bad choices and things I used to love to eat and drink....hopefully it shows that I have changed and are on the road to a better me.

Day 17 shoulder/arm/ab ripper X

Before heading out for my convention I got my workout in. Pushed hard today and added several reps and went up in weight. FEeling a lot stronger today then usually. I'm very sore from mon/tue workouts still so thought I would have a hard time with today. AFter a good workout and pushing hard today I started the ab ripper X. Felt good and pushed through the first couple and actually made it to the full set on the first two sets...then after that it was ab death! lol....I finished with abs burning and body not wanting to get up. Overall good day!

Food wise clean today..Tonight Im going to pack my own dinner of chicken and veggies to eat on the road down to the convention. I've brought oats and protein powder for breakfast almonds, and protein bars for snacks. I WILL STAY ON TRACK!
Looking forward to this week. and will see if I can add a coach or two on friday's leg work out:) See how they like that!!!!!

Day 16 Plyo

Plyo..coming to be a word I hate! It is so hard. I had been working hard in the past two weeks doing this and then taking longer breaks and stopping some in the middle of sets. This time I did at least 20 sec per set. Next plyo I'm going to try to do 25 secs per set. It is a hard hour. I was dying 15 mins into the workout tonight but pushed through. I think that 20% of this workout is mental. It's almost like running a mini marathon. Just push through. It's hard to say that when your legs are shaking, your out of breath, and you heart is beating to its max! Looking forward to getting a good nights sleep.

Food wise today I had oats and protein shake for breakfest, a protein bar for snack. At lunch I had a piece of grilled chicken and a handful of spinach. Snack in the afternoon was 24 almonds and dinner was 3 slices of tomato, 3 grilled chicken tenders, and a cup of french greenbeans. After workout I had another protein bar (felt like giving myself a treat because it reminds of a candy bar!)
The rest of this week is going to be tough. I 'm heading to the national soccer convention. Which is 4 days of hanging out with fellow coaches from around the world. That means out to eat and friends trying to get me to drink! I'm going to bring protein poweder, protein bars, almonds, and a couple south beach diet meal replacement bars and see if I can stay on track. I'm NOT going to let a couple days of fun ruin what I have worked so hard for!

day 15

Today started off with a quick breakfast of oats and left over turkey meat! then played with my daughter allmorning because her day care closed today due to problems with the furnace. Had to head in after lunch, a spinach and chicken salad. After working for a few hours and having some of the players come by to change schedules I took my wife to the the doctor for her checkup (she is due feb 19) then stopped and got dinner on the way home. I ate a piece of beef jerkey and a meal replacement bar instead of eating fast food!

After getting home around 6:30 went straight downstairs and started working out. First set was great..During the second set something popped in my right shoulder..Didn't feel good and felt real bad doing pushups ...Wasn't to happy about this. Still was able to push through ...Shoulder was sore and hope it doesn't become a problem.
Ab ripper x was a different story though! I actually pushed harder then ever on this workout and thought my abs were going to explode. Can't believe it has been 15 days already. I'll be back tomorrow to hit play again!

After wieghing myself I was quite upset. I've busted my butt for two weeks and have lost 2 pounds. Being a human being we are kind of addicted to this number. However, after seeing all of my measurements as a whole I'm happy. 2 in off my waist in two weeks is great. Plus my body fat has gone down. So that means I have put on some muscle while losing fat. That is not easy to do so that is good. I also read last night on line (team beach body) That it usually take until the 5 week mark until your body really starts kicking fat out because its in getting used to the change. I'm hoping this is correct. As tony says...rome wasn't built in a day..I will continue to push play this week, eat healthy, and bring it.

kenpo x and yoga x

I'm going to post both workouts here. I have gone through 14 days now and am excited about the transformation made already. Not knowing this weeks measurements yet, will tomorrow morning, I'm still excited about the changes I have made in regards to working out and eating.
I did not do yoga x. I'm still not able to do some of the moves do I did the stretch video instead. I love it though. Even some of those movies hurt my body. Kenpo x was a ncie treat. It's not hard but kind of fun. Its almost a break compared to the other videos.
Last night I did have a cheat meal. I had a couple sushi rolls and 4 pieces of orange flavored chicken. I don't feel bad about this really. I have had a lot of people say to have a cheat meal to help keep you grounded. It will give me something to look forward to all week. What are your thoughts on this?
I'm looking forward to tomorrow for back and chest. I'm going to really push myself tomorrow and see if I can get a couple more reps out of each set.

Legs and back!

WEll I just finished writing a really good long blog about today and my internet went off for a sec. So I lost it. In short. Today's workout was hard but good. I pushed it really hard and added several reps in almost everything. The single leg wall sit was crazy and my legs are feeling it now. I've eaten healty all day and tonight I'm going to enjoy a grilled chicken breast and veggies !! while my daughter has smiley faced pancakes and we watch a disney movie !
Tomorrow I'm going to get up early and do kenpo x!

Rest Day

IF you are following you know I was supposed to do Yoga X today. However, I choose to make today my rest day and then continue with everything and move Yoga to sunday instead of sunday being my off day.
I ate good today. I did break the diet a bit and had reg pasta tonight. A small bowl. Don't really think it was cheating but didn't have any bowtie pasta in whole wheat. Ate dinner at 6 at don't think having complex carbs will really hurt me that bad since its the first time in almost 2 weeks. Usually I would have eaten two bowls with garlic bread and dessert afterwards! IT's amazing how much I have changed in my mental abilities. In the past when trying to lose weight I have always broke my diet. I havn't any had cravings which is amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing my results on monday in regards to weight/size I'm hoping to lose 2 pnds per week. That would put me around a 25 pounds loss for the 90 days! What a change that would be.

Check back tomorrow after I bring it for legs..Which I'm going to make my favorite video before this is over since its so hard.

Shoulders/arm/abripper x

Today was a long one! Had to take our cat of 5 years, suji, a saimese lynx point to the shelter because our daughter is allergic. Kind of sad...but our daughters health is more important then a pet. Ate super clean today again. Kind of feel an energy drain. Think I will throw a little more carbs in tomorrow. I have cut down really low on carbs. only consume them at breakfast and lunch. then I have veggies for dinner with a lean meat. Tomorrow will add complex carbs to morning snack and see if that helps. IF not then friday will do the same and maybe add a few extra cals.
Work out was good. Kicked my butt! Pushed through it and saw an increase in almost every lift. Ab ripper was hard as ever. My abs were done about 5 mins in. Did as much as I could.
Joined the team beach body website and it has put a fire in my ass to keep working hard and I hope to make the transformation that others have made. ITs nice to be able to talk to other people who are going through the same thing. I think it will be good to go there and get help when I'm in a low spot and also give help when things are going well...see you tomorrow!

day 9 plyos!

Ate very clean today again! Getting really proad of myself for that. I'm not even hungry! I have been eating whole grains, veggies, and lean meats and following the p90x diet pretty well. I really don't eat how they ask but I'm eating very clean. Try to keep fruit out of the diet right now because of the sugar content...I also eat almonds for snacks between breakfast lunch and a protein bar between lunch and dinner and throw in a protein shake after working out. Overall feel really good about my eating habits right now. My one down fall is diet soda...i currently drink about 24 -30 oz a day! I know thats not good..but will try to lower it as the days go by!

Workout today killed me. This workout is insane. I cut about 5-10 secs. off every set and it still killed me. My goal before the end of this is to kill plyos! ITs crazy how much I sweat during this workout. I still feel that this is one of the hardest one hour workouts I have ever done....
The good thing is that I hit play again and that makes 9 days in a row! 81 left to see the new me:)

Day 8 Back and Chest

Had friends over last night for dinner, I ate clean, so didn't get to workout until almost 9. My right calfs still really hurts. When I get up from sitting its hard to walk. Hoping it is better by tuesday for plyos. Overall the workout today was really good. Was able to push hardier and actually did 3-5 more reps per exercise. That is a nice felling. Still no where close to the reps the people on the video are doing. Hope to be closier by the end of the 90 days. Then it was on to ab ripper X.. This killed me. I don't see how anyone can go through this whole video without dying. I did push hardier then last week...but man it kills me! After the workout tried a new protein poweder receipe. I didn't buy the recovery drink...so I'm just using protein powder.
Here it is.
Hot Chocolate protein drink
1 - 2 scoops chocolate protein powder
Hot water
Mix the two after heating the water and stir until completely dissolved.
I added a flavored hazelnut syrup (sugar free 0 cals) These are great to add to protein drinks and have several different flavors.
Was actually really good...try it!

new stats

Im going to post my stats now. I won;t work out until later today/tonight. My right calf feels like something is wrong...im thinking its just delayed onsite muscle soreness....

I'm overall satisfied with this weeks measurements. It's always hard when you work your butt off and eat super clean but only lose 2 pounds. I'm trying to get past the scale and look only at measurements and how I feel. Will take a while for that though:)

day 7 DAY OFF!!!

WEll I made it through my first week. Not as easy as I thought. I feel pretty good overall. My body is a bit stiff but my calves are shot! I needed this day off. I was supposed to play in a basketball pickup game. I think I'm going to just relax and hang with the family. My calves hurt just to get up or walk...so I think it will do them good to rest. I also started taking fiber supplements today as well. A friend said it would help my body so I will try it to see if it will help. After next week I'm also going to start a fat burner to help push my results a bit. Hopefully, a full day of rest will do my body good and get me ready for another week of bringing it!

day 6 kenpo x

My legs are not as sore as I thought they would be. Now don't get me wrong they hurt..but not as bad as I was thinking they would. Now my calfs are a different story. Every step makes them hurt. So I woke up earlier after having a rough night of coughing. Made breakfast (hot whole grain cereal) for my daughter and me and then watched come cartoons as I worked on my mid-term exam. After lunch, a turkey and chicken with baby spinach sandwich, I watched some tv and then hit play at started Kenpo X. My shoes kept sticking into our carpet so I didn't feel as smooth as they looked on tv. However, I made it through this workout with dying. I really didn't think it was super hard. It did get my heart rate going and I dropped about two pounds of sweat but didn't feel like I was going to throw up like I did in some of the other workouts! I'm happy to say I completed week one. My body hurts but I finished. I will weigh myself on Monday morning and take all my measurements. I forgot to take my BF measurements the first day so will do that on monday with a skin fold caliber. I really don't care how much weight I lose. All I Care about is losing body fat and becoming more healthy!!!

day 5 legs/back/ abs

Woke up this morning not as sore as yesterday. Ate whole cereal and milk for breakfast and worked on come coloring with my daughter. For lunch I ate a salad with steak on top followed by a cup of fruit. after lunch I got ready for the legs and back workout. It totally kicked my butt. The one legged wall squat is just out right insane. My legs were shaking so bad during this workout. Its lunge after lunge then pullups and some squats throw in just for the fun of it. I feel that it was close to the hardest workout I've ever done on my legs. I can't wait to see my results after 90 days of workouts like this. It is hardcore! Ab ripper X was still to tough to finish. I did make it to 25 reps on a couple of the exercises though. I'm really looking forward to Sunday and my day off:) See you tomorrow!

Day 4 X stretch

Well today started early..my daughter woke up a little past seven ( I usually wake her up at 8-830). I also went to be a lot later then usually (new years eve). So I've been a step behind all day. I did however help my wife finish the new baby's room and clean a lot of the house. Waited until the evening to do my workout. My whole body is feeling the after effects of these workouts. I have a hard time walking up and down the stairs and my core is hurting hard core! However, today was a great day to help with that. IT was supposed to be yoga X but I choose to do x stretch for the first couple of weeks to help my flexibility before moving to yoga x. Today was challenging but seems to have helped a lot. I'm looking forward to getting my butt kicked tomorrow morning by the legs. Since my legs are already hurting I guess I cant do much worse to them :)
